How to Run a Malware Scan

Drive Genius will automatically monitor your computer for malware through the DrivePulse utility, however you can also perform a manual scan of a specific device.

Select the drive you’d like to scan for malware from the left of the Drive Genius window, and click on the ‘Malware Scan’ utility in the Protect section of the feature window as shown below:

Press the ‘Start’ button in the lower right corner to begin scanning for malware. When the scan is complete, a list of infected files and their locations will be presented. You then have to option of moving the files to the trash for deletion.
