How to Install Data Rescue 5 for Windows

Step 1

After the download has finished, open the Data Rescue Setup EXE file. A window will open asking you where you’d like to install Data Rescue. By default it will be installed in your computer’s Program Files. Choose a new location or leave the default, and click ‘Next’. You will be asked if you’d like to create a desktop shortcut, by default a shortcut will be created. Press ‘Next’ to perform installation.

Step 2

The software is now installed and can be launched from your Program Files folder, other chosen install location, or the desktop shortcut (if you created one during installation). You can also launch Data Rescue immediately after installing by leaving ‘Launch Data Rescue’ checked and pressing ‘Finish’ on the final installer screen as shown below. You will be prompted to enter your name and asked for either your demo or purchased serial number. After entering that information, you will be taken to the Welcome screen.
